As previously stated, Work is a service that is based on Nextcloud. Hence, being it an opensource, anyone can install and configure it on their PC or server. Having used Nexcloud within the company for over 10 years, we know that setting up and maintaining a production environment can be difficult and costly. We have therefore decided to offer our customers a professional, transparent and ready to use service. We want you to be up and running in the shortest possible time, saving on management costs.
Depending on the service chosen, the guaranteed uptime is:
- BASIC: 98%
- STANDARD: 99%
- PRO: 99.99%
The uptime only applies to the availability of the Work web interface. Any scheduled maintenance is excluded.
Our services are GDPR compliant but we know that often this is not enough, so we decided to go further. Work uses double data encryption, one at disk operating system level and one at web application level directly on the files. Each basic user, must use a 16-character Password and optionally can enable Multi Factor Authentication (MFA). The hard drives used are all duplicated with RAID technology and - depending on the type of subscription - they are also subject to different Snapshots plans. For the most demanding customers, dedicated backup plans can be activated on request.
Our staff will be able to access your data only under your explicit request and only in case of emergency. Moreover, the only access to the data we have is via file system and is possible only after decrypting the data. Even in case of data restoration, our support will not be able to see the content of the files but only the name of the files themselves.
However, in the contracts that will follow your service order, MyTeams will state all the details and specifications regarding transparency and privacy guaranteed.
Work, can be supported with several additional types of “storage” such as Amazon S3, FTP/FTPS, OpenStack Object Storage, SFTP, SMB/CIFS, WebDAV. These are all aimed at a perfect integration of storage for Archive systems and/or “non-operational” data management systems that do not require high read and write performance. This option reduces management costs, leaving customers the possibility to expand their space capacity by choosing their preferred provider. My Teams has partners on the European territory such as IBM and Aruba Business, where it has developed its Cloud technology. Work and its data reside on servers in the European territory. However, on request, we can locate data in specific countries, for example for some customers, we have configured and installed Work systems limited to the Italian territory.
For customers who choose the BASIC option, we give the possibility to have an easy targeting on our servers like: yourname-work.myteams.cloud protected by SSL pro certificate owned by MyTeams, while for STANDARD and PRO customers, we will create a dedicated domain protected by SSL pro and registered in the name of the customer, like: work.companyname.domain. If the customer already has a domain in its name and/or an SSL pro, simply provide us with the details and we will support it.
